AllTime Lineups Battle No 9 Braves vs Cardinals

Former Cardinals manager Tony La Russa and former Braves manager Bobby Cox managed against each other so much, it was just short of a whole season. Cox was 94-67 against La Russa, dating back to their Blue Jays vs. White Sox days. They split a pair of playoff series, with the Braves winning in 1996 and the Cardinals in 2000. They'll both be giving speeches in Cooperstown in a few years, too.

For hypothetical purposes, let's make them the skippers in this All-Time Lineups series matchup between two of the oldest franchises in the National League. The series matches up the best to play at each position in any one season in team history. The Cardinals have an edge in total championships, but both teams have their share of Hall of Famers and MVPs. Click through to check out the full lineups and arguments for the Braves and Cardinals.
